The Itinerary

Day One - London To Gosnay


08.30hrs Welcome breakfast in central London with pre-event briefing. 09.30hrs Starter’s flag dropped and The Grand Tour commences.

Entrants head directly for the Eurotunnel and over to Northern France. The day’s driving takes us through the Nord/Pas de Calais region where entrants will find green fields, intimate valleys and marshes along coastal rivers embraced by woods, steep hills and mountains criss-crossed with winding roads.

Late afternoon will see entrants arriving for their first night at the beautiful La Chartreuse Hotel at Gosnay where after a welcome cocktail reception, entrants will sample the delights of high quality French catering for the first time on the Tour..

Day Two - Gosnay To Vougeot

After a sumptuous breakfast entrants head south, firstly into the Champagne-Ardenne region, a very sacred place, indeed, for the connoisseur of fine wines and beautiful countryside. The region abounds in deep forests, reflected in the clear brilliant water of lakes and streams running through lime-stone rocks, whose smooth undulating contours characterise the Champagne plain. After a lunch stop we head into that other wonderful wine region of Burgundy! This region of France is renowned as being the home of fine wine and classic cuisine.

Our overnight accommodation is at the magnificent Chateau Gilly.

Day Three - Vougeot, Dijon to Montreux, Switzerland

The day starts with the morning driving offering more of the same, gentle undulating landscape, dominated by the wine growers of this fabulous area of France.

The afternoon sees us negotiating the Alps for the first time as we head out of France and into Switzerland, up into the high alps which are dominated by high craggy mountain peaks, lush green plateaus, and some of the most beautiful lakes in the World, with crystal clear water. The night will see us staying on Lake Geneva at the 5 star Le Montreux Palace Hotel.

Day Four - Montreux to Interlaken

Entrants set off at 09:30hrs skirting the edge of the awesome Lake Geneva before heading up into the high Swiss Alps where some of the very best scenery and roads are to be found. For those drivers who have never experienced this sort of terrain, it will be one of the most magical experiences of their lifetime, as they find themselves driving along breathtaking mountain passes, through gorges and plateaus, that seem to go on forever. Our accommodation for the night is at the world renowned 5 star Victoria Jungfrau in Interlaken.

Day Five - Interlaken to Monza to Lake Como

From Interlaken we cross over the border into the Italian Alps and head down to the outskirts of Milan to the Monza racing circuit for 2 hours of exclusive driving before we depart for our Gala Dinner and Prize Giving on the banks of Lake Como.

Overnight accommodation and the party are at the beautiful, world famous 5 Star Villa d’Este, on the banks of Lake Como.
